See Dustin Lynch’s Sexy ‘Small Town Boy’ Video
Crashing waves. A flirtatious football toss. A beautiful woman wandering seductively through wild flowers. Dustin Lynch‘s music video for “Small Town Boy” may roll deep in the clichés, but it somehow works. The song, off Lynch’s yet-to-be-released third studio album, was co-written by Rhett Akins, Ben Hayslip and Kyle Fishman.
Balancing equal parts earnestness and sex appeal, the ballad tips its hat to hometown love and physical chemistry without resorting to the overt sexual imagery of the album’s first single, “Seein’ Red,” which hit Number One on Billboard‘s Country Airplay charts. “She likes my T-shirt / She likes my old boots / Likes to slow dance to some old school / She’ll take a full moon over those city nights,” Lynch croons, as he and his blond companion, Australian actress Claire Holt (of the CW’s Vampire Diaries), enjoy a moonlit midnight dance on the beach. If the playful, romantic vibe doesn’t get you in the mood to look up an old neighborhood crush – in spite of the clichés – then perhaps it’s best to leave that memory-laced dirt road in the taillights.
Lynch premiered the music video on Vevo as well as to the crowd at Nissan Stadium during CMA Fest on Friday, June 9th. He’s currently on tour with Brad Paisley for his nationwide Weekend Warrior Tour.
