Watch ‘Kimmel’ Trick Strangers With Hilarious Beyonce, Jay-Z Baby Names
Jay-Z and Beyoncé expanded their family last month with a pair of twins named Rumi and Sir Carter, according to trademark documents filed to the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Since the performers have yet to formally announce their children’s names, Jimmy Kimmel Live! tested out some alternate options by tricking strangers in Hollywood.
The “Lie Witness News” crew asked people to congratulate the singer and rapper on the twins, using a list of hilarious fake names that encompassed food items (Cucumber), body parts (Uvula), personal hygiene products (Pantene, Neosporin), weed (Bong, Blunt), medicine (Amoxicillin), STIs (Gonorrhea) and retail puns (Bedbath and Beyond-cé).
But the funniest part was no matter how ridiculous sounding, the names seemed plausible to virtually all of the passersby. One woman even said Zika and Zumba were “gorgeous, very unique” names for the newborn Carter twins.
The Carters announced they were expecting twins in February with a viral Instagram post. Beyoncé later unveiled a series of underwater pregnancy photos on her website. Jay-Z recently released a new LP, 4:44, and announced a North American tour. The 31-date trek kicks off October 27th in Anaheim, California.
