‘Mystery Science Theater 3000’ Announces First-Ever Tour
Following Mystery Science Theater 3000‘s return in April thanks to a Netflix reboot, the creator of the series along with its new host will take MST3K on the road for its first-ever tour.
Hosts Joel Hodgson and Jonah Ray – along with their trusty robots Crow, Tom Servo and Gypsy – will embark on the Watch Out for Snakes! Tour this June. Reboot co-stars Felicia Day and Patton Oswalt will also check in on the audience via video screens.
The 26-city trek kicks off June 6th at Boston’s Shubert Theatre and wraps August 12th in Atlanta.
On every stop, the hosts and the robots will riff their way through the 1962 caveman film Eegah, a movie the cast has been subjected to before during MST3K‘s run. However, the live show will feature all-new jokes at the movie’s expense, as well as “audience participation.”
Select cities will also host a late show featuring a “secret surprise film” that has never been featured on the series. Check out the tour’s itinerary to see which cities will get a double dose of MST3K, one of Rolling Stone‘s 100 Greatest TV Shows of All Time.
Tickets for the Watch Out for Snakes! Tour go on sale Friday, May 19th at noon local time at AXS.com.
