Katy Perry Announces New Album ‘Witness,’ Maps Fall Tour
UPDATE 2: Katy Perry has rescheduled numerous shows on her Witness tour due to “unavoidable production delays.” A full list of Perry’s new schedule is available below.
UPDATE: Katy Perry has teamed with Global Citizen to announce a new partnership with Boys & Girls Club of America for her upcoming Witness tour. Fans can earn tickets by either donating supplies to their local Boys & Girls Club or volunteering at a Boys & Girls to to win a pair of VIP tickets and attend a meet and greet with Perry.
“I’m a firm believer that actions speak louder than Tweets,” Perry said in a statement. “We’re all looking for a way to make real change beyond just donating our loose change. I’m proud to partner with Global Citizen to encourage my fans to take action in their own communities and visit their local Boys & Girls Clubs of America locations to donate or volunteer to earn incredible tickets to see me on WITNESS: The Tour.”

Katy Perry announced her new album Witness, the follow-up to 2013’s Prism, is due out June 9th. A massive North American tour will follow.
The North American leg of the Witness: The Tour begins September 7th and will find Perry filling 43 arenas in the U.S. and Canada, with the trek concluding February 5th in Vancouver.
The stretch of dates include four New York-area shows at each of the tristate area’s major arenas: October 2nd at Madison Square Garden, October 3rd at the revamped Nassau Coliseum, October 8th at Newark’s Prudential Center and October 11th at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center.
Tickets for the Witness: The Tour go on sale to the general public on May 22nd, although Citi cardholders and Ticketmaster Verified Fan members will have an opportunity to purchase tickets starting Thursday, May 18th. Perry’s website has full ticket information. One dollar from each ticket purchased will go to the Boys & Girls Club of America. Fans will also have a chance to win free tickets by taking action to support that organization via Global Citizen.
Every ticket purchased for the Witness: The Tour will also be accompanied by a copy of Perry’s new album. Witness will likely feature Perry’s recent singles “Chained to the Rhythm” and “Bon Appetit,” and as evidenced by the album’s teaser, a title track called “Witness”:

This weekend, Perry will serve as the musical guest on the season finale of Saturday Night Live, hosted by Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.
