See Lady Antebellum Train for Upcoming Tour in Wildly Goofy Video
Hitting the road is second nature for Lady Antebellum at this point, but that doesn’t mean the members of the band don’t need to stay sharp. The Nashville trio is getting ready to release its first album in three years, Heart Break, so prepping for their You Look Good World Tour means getting their heads back in the game – something they poke fun at in their playfully silly new tour promo video, which features tourmates Kelsea Ballerini and Brett Young.
Hillary Scott, Charles Kelley and Dave Haywood take a page out of the Spinal Tap playbook and play the part of three blissfully unaware country stars, showing off their hobbies and creature comforts of their tour bus to a bemused Ballerini and Young. They share their ridiculous workout routines, which include trying to push the tour bus while it’s in neutral, their recipes for “craft” cocktails (e.g., Jack and Coke), and some painful-to-watch new stage moves, which Scott delivers while singing Ballerini’s “Peter Pan.”
The musicians takes some good-natured digs at themselves, too, like having Kelley and Haywood give Scott the diva treatment with a DIY manicure, or “lyrical genius” Kelley spitting some regrettably bad rhymes over a rap beat. “That’s definitely country,” Ballerini says.
Heart Break, Lady Antebellum’s sixth studio LP, will be released June 9th via Capitol Records Nashville. They hit the road for the 50-date You Look Good Tour on May 26th with a gig at Rabobank Arena in Bakersfield, California, and tour the U.S. throughout the summer before heading to Europe and South Africa in October.
