Blake Shelton, Maren Morris to Perform New Songs on ‘The Voice’
Given its premise, there’s never a shortage of great performances on NBC’s The Voice. But the show is upping the star power over two episodes next week: Blake Shelton, Maren Morris and Charlie Puth will take the stage to sing.
Shelton, who has served as a coach on the show since its inception in 2011, will perform “Every Time I Hear That Song” on the Monday, May 8th, broadcast. The tune, written by the Warren Brothers, Aimee Mayo and Chris Lindsey, is the latest single from Shelton’s 2016 album If I’m Honest, following the Number One hit “A Guy With a Girl.”
The Grammy-winning Morris will perform the following night, Tuesday, May 9th, offering her latest single off her debut album Hero, “I Could Use a Love Song.” While it’s Morris’ Voice debut, her music has already been heard throughout the show – former Team Blake contestant Casi Joy covered “My Church” earlier this season. Pop singer Charlie Puth will also perform on the May 9th episode, debuting the new song “Attention.”
Shelton has the most wins of any coach on The Voice and currently has three contestants left in Season 12’s Top 10: Lauren Duski, Aliyah Moulden and TSoul. On a recent results show, Shelton and his team performed a country-tinged rendition of John Lennon’s 1971 Imagine song “Crippled Inside.”
