Linkin Park Plot Massive ‘One More Light’ Tour
Linkin Park will embark on a North American tour this summer in support of their upcoming album, One More Light.
The trek kicks off July 27th at the Xfinity Center in Boston and wraps October 22nd at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, California. Additional concerts in Pennsylvania and New York will be announced soon.
Machine Gun Kelly will open throughout the tour. The pair announced the partnership in a video for Genius, in which Linkin Park’s Mike Shinoda and Chester Bennington crash a Machine Gun Kelly interview and whisk the rapper off to the road.
Japanese rock outfit One OK Rock will also open during select dates at the beginning of the One More Light tour, while additional support for the trek’s final West Coast run will be announced at a later date.
The group will also join Blink-182 for two nights this summer in a show billed as Welcome to Blinkin Park. The bands will share a stage July 28th in Queens, NY’s Citi Field and July 30th at Hersheypark Stadium in Hershey, PA. The two groups announced the shows via a Funny or Die video, where they help a couple on a first date navigate the pleasures and perils of dating.
Tickets for the One More Light tour go on sale May 12th, though Linkin Park fans will have access to a pre-sale starting May 9th via Ticketmaster’s Verified Fan program. Fans can sign up now to claim a spot in a digital line for pre-sale tickets. Members of Linkin Park’s fan club will have priority access, but anyone can register and potentially end up at the front. All ticket purchases will include either a digital or CD copy of One More Light.
Linkin Park will release One More Light May 19th. The record marks the band’s first since 2014’s The Hunting Party. The group has shared a handful of album cuts so far, including lead single “Heavy,” featuring Kiiara, “Battle Symphony” and “Good Goodbye,” featuring Pusha T and British grime artist Stormzy.
