Watch ‘Will & Grace’ Cast Stage Lavish Musical in Revival Trailer
In the first official trailer for NBC‘s Will & Grace revival, the core cast promises “must-see primetime madness” during a lavish musical number.
The five-minute clip opens with Grace (Debra Messing) disinterested in the revival, despite having just secured a deal for their TV comeback. In one last-ditch effort to change her mind, Will (Eric McCormack) transports his co-star to their former sitcom set, where the perpetually sassy Karen (Megan Mullally) is sleeping on the couch and Jack (Sean Hayes) wanders in after a botched hook-up attempt.
After opening the fridge, Grace realizes her destiny, launching into the ornate musical number. “Yes, a world to rediscover,” she belts, “in our sitcom-sized apartment we could never afford.” Karen chimes in with some punchlines about her requisite boozing, while Jack promises more “anonymous liaisons with tall guys and with shorties.”
The 12-episode Will & Grace revival premieres this fall, Deadline reports. Original creators Max Mutchnick and David Kohan will return as writers, showrunners and executive producers. James Burrows, who helmed every episode of the first eight seasons, will direct and executive produce.
Discussions of a potential revival began circulating in September, after the show’s core cast reunited for a 10-minute digital special focused on the 2016 presidential election.
