Watch Louis C.K.’s Pre-Show Routine in New Netflix Trailer
Louis C.K. shows you what he does before taking the stage in the new trailer for his upcoming special, 2017, on Netflix April 4th.
The short clip captures the comedian as he arrives at the venue, peeks out at the filling auditorium and gets ready in his dressing room with a cup of coffee and a tray of cold cuts. The trailer ends with C.K. leaving his mug on a note that says “This is it” then walking on stage to wild applause.
2017 was filmed in Washington D.C. and marks the first of two specials C.K. will release on Netflix this year. The comedian’s last stand-up special was 2015’s Louis C.K. Live From the Comedy Store, which was filmed at the iconic Los Angeles club.
Along with 2017, C.K. will host Saturday Night Live on April 8th. The comedian recently finished a string of tour dates, while Baskets, the FX comedy series he created with Zach Galifianakis, finished its second season in March. Season Two of Better Things, the FX series C.K. created with Pamela Adlon, will return for its second season this year. C.K. is also set to voice the character Lou in the upcoming TBS animated series The Cops. The show stars the comedian and Albert Brooks as two Los Angeles patrolmen and is expected to premiere in 2018.
