Hear Kid Ink’s Slick New Song With Ty Dolla $ign, ‘F With U’
Kid Ink puts a modern spin on on Tamia’s 1998 R&B hit “So Into You” with his Ty Dolla $ign collaboration “F With You.” Over a pulsating, tropical-flavored beat from DJ Mustard and J Holt, Ty unleashes a signature auto-tuned hook: “I really like what you’ve done to me/ I can’t really explain it – I still fuck with you.”
In his laid-back verse, Kid shouts-out Juvenile’s 2004 single “Nolia Clap,” rapping, “The way you make that clap, Nolia, Nolia/ See your curves and you’re stacked in your frame, girl/ Dip, swerve, then I’m back in your lane, girl.” The rapper will release a new EP, 7 Series, on May 5th.
As Rap-Up notes, other hip-hop songs have mined “So Into You” for inspiration, including Remy Ma’s 2014 track “Black Love” and Fabolous’ “Into You,” which samples Tamia’s vocal. Childish Gambino covered the influential track for a 2015 performance on Australian radio station Triple J.
Kid Ink and Ty Dolla $ign previously collaborated with Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker on the all-star single “100,” which also features Iamsu! and Tyga.
