Watch Thomas Rhett, Maren Morris’ Pulsing ‘Craving You’ at ACM Awards
On an ACM Awards night packed with elite collaborations, red-hot rising stars Thomas Rhett and Maren Morris proved an addictive pairing with the TV debut of their new collaboration “Craving You.”
Featuring a pulsating Eighties power-anthem feel and lyrics flush with rosy, can’t-get-enough romance, Rhett began the song alone before Morris joined him at the edge of the stage, singing face-to-face.
Written by Dave Barnes and Julian Bunetta, “Craving You” is the first single from Rhett’s upcoming third album, which has yet to be officially announced. Rhett recently told Rolling Stone Country the project would continue in the feel-good direction he established with 2015’s Tangled Up, including plenty of danceable beats and even some “straight-up Grease soundtrack kind of vibes.”
Rhett won two awards during the show – Male Vocalist of the Year and Song of the Year for “Die a Happy Man” – while Morris was announced as the ACM’s New Female Artist of the Year prior to the telecast. Her win stemmed from her Number One charting debut album, Hero, and hit singles “My Church” and “80s Mercedes.” She also performed her new single “I Could Use a Love Song” at the ACMs.
Rhett’s headlining Home Team Tour continues through November with dates in the U.S., Canada and Europe. Morris’ Hero Tour wraps up with a two-night stand in Nashville on April 4th and 5th before she joins Sam Hunt’s 15 in a 30 Tour on June 1st.
