Watch Stephen Colbert’s Chili-Soaked Alex Jones Spoof
Stephen Colbert revived his new far right character, Tuck Buckford, to mock radio host Alex Jones and his penchant for conspiracy theories and chili on The Late Show Wednesday.
Colbert debut Buckford earlier this week while discussing Jones’ ongoing divorce trial. The radio personality’s ex-wife is using his on-air antics to prove why she should have custody of their children, while Jones is arguing that he is a “performance artist.” Colbert explained the latest updates from the trial, including that Jones allegedly has a habit of randomly taking off his clothes – and not just on air while hocking male vitality drugs – and that during a deposition he could not remember basic facts about his children because he’d “had a big bowl of chili.”
Colbert ran with both details as Buckford. He railed against a bowl of chili for messing up his brain signals, but admitted anyway, “I love this chili as much as I love my kids! Little, uh, Red Bean Man and Meat Chunk Jr. and Smokey Paprika, my daughter.” Moments later, Colbert’s pants were off and he was smearing chili on his bare thigh, growling, “That’s a moisturizer as God intended!”
