Wilco Detail New U.S. Summer Tour Dates
Wilco announced an expanded tour itinerary for this summer, plotting several June dates ahead of their own Solid Sound Festival. Jeff Tweedy and company will perform in Michigan, Pennsylvania, Kentucky, Indiana and Illinois.
The fifth annual Solid Sound Festival is scheduled for June 23rd through the 25th at the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art in North Adams, Massachussets. Wilco – who performed both full-band and one-off collaborative shows at last week’s Big Ears Festival – have other festival slots booked throughout the summer, including Justin Vernon’s eclectic Eaux Claires fest in Wisconsin.
Frontman Jeff Tweedy will also perform a pair of solo shows on April 21st and 22nd at Chicago’s Vic Theatre for the Annual Benefit for Education. More ticket details are available at the band’s official site.
Last year, Wilco released their 10th studio album, Schmilco, which Rolling Stone ranked one of 2016’s 50 Best Albums.
