Phoenix Announce First North American Tour in Three Years
Phoenix have announced a stretch of North American tour dates revolving around their previously announced festival appearances. The trek marks the French dance rock group’s first tour since summer 2014.
The band’s jaunt kicks off May 12th at Miami’s Fillmore and works its way westward before concluding June 15th at Los Angeles’ Hollywood Bowl. Along the way, Phoenix will make stops at festivals like Atlanta’s Shaky Knees, New York’s Governors Ball and San Diego’s X Fest.
Whitney, Lemon Twigs and Miike Snow will serve as opening acts on select dates; check out Phoenix’s site for full ticket information. Following the North American trek, Phoenix will hit Europe and Southeast Asia.
Despite being at work on the follow-up to 2013’s Bankrupt!, Phoenix have been largely dormant over the past three years, only resurfacing in 2015 to contribute a cover of the Beach Boys’ “Alone on Christmas Day” for Bill Murray’s A Very Murray Christmas special.
