FBI Locates Tom Brady’s Missing Super Bowl Jersey in Mexico
Tom Brady’s Super Bowl LI jersey has been found.
On Monday morning, the NFL announced that the FBI helped them and the New England Patriots find Brady’s jersey that has been missing since his historic performance against the Atlanta Falcons in the 51st Super Bowl. Brady’s jersey from Super Bowl XLIX – which nobody seemed to know was missing in the first place – was also found in the investigation. Houston Police Chief Art Acevedo tweeted that the jerseys were traced to Mexico, and the alleged theft has been classified as a first-degree felony with the jersey valued at $500,000.
According to Fox Sports’ Jay Glazer, the person accused of stealing the items is an “international member of the media” who has a history of posing as a member of the national media and swiping memorabilia. Glazer said the Denver Broncos believe the same person may have taken Von Miller’s helmet and cleats following Super Bowl 50.

Brady noticed his jersey was missing shortly after the game. While reporters were in the locker room, the quarterback told the equipment manager he “absolutely, 100 percent” put it in his bag and asked if anyone had seen it. He then told Patriots owner Robert Kraft that someone had stolen his jersey. Brady’s teammate Julian Edelman later created a suspect board for the missing jersey featuring Lady Gaga, Jaws, Gollum and Crab People and posted this play on Good Will Hunting on Instagram:
Fortunately for both of them, the case, it seems, has been solved.
