Watch Snoop Dogg’s Ruthless ‘Promise You This’ Video
Snoop Dogg shuts down a fictional up-and-coming rapper in his ruthless new video for “Promise You This.” The rapper is set to release a new album, Neva Left, May 19th.
The clip opens with a brash, aspiring MC trying to insist that Snoop promised him a record deal, but getting turned away at the Doggy Style Records gate. Back home, the man is unable to escape Snoop, from the collectible toy on the coffee table to the rapper’s videos and show with Martha Stewart on the TV. The flustered man tries to go pawn some Snoop memorabilia for extra cash, but while he’s out, Snoop slides into his house and lights up a blunt with his girlfriend while spitting a torrent of casual boasts.
Things keep going downhill for the deadbeat rapper, who gets robbed during a drug deal and, at the end of the video, is left panhandling outside a McDonalds with a sign that partly reads, “Help me keep my dreams alive … Fuck Snoop.”
The “Promise You This” video follows Snoop Dogg‘s controversial clip for “Lavender,” in which the rapper shoots a gun loaded with confetti at a clown-faced caricature of President Trump.
