See Brent Cobb’s Moody ‘Black Crow’ at Sam Phillips Studios
Brent Cobb‘s rural roots, which are an integral element of his artistry, come to life in the natural setting that is the legendary Sam Phillips Studios in
“‘Black Crow’ is about taking the long way home to right a wrong,” says Cobb of the tune from Shine on Rainy Day, the LP helmed by his cousin, in-demand producer Dave Cobb. The original album version of “Black Crow” is also distinguished by slide-guitar work from Jason Isbell.
Cobb’s hefty 2017 tour schedule has him sharing stages with a wide variety of acts. His headlining trek with Nikki Lane launched Wednesday night in Birmingham and he’s set to make his debut at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium Friday, February 24th as a special guest when Little Big Town launch their Ryman Auditorium residency. In addition, there are upcoming dates with Chris Stapleton on his All-American Road Show and he’ll participate in the Stagecoach Spotlight Tour with Jamey Johnson and Margo Price. In September Cobb is among the artists warming up crowds on Tim McGraw and Faith Hill’s Soul2Soul Tour.
