Watch Jon Pardi’s Rowdy ‘Dirt on My Boots’ Video
Jon Pardi‘s live shows are energetic, sweaty affairs, with the California native simultaneously throttling his Telecaster and prowling every inch of the stage. Pardi’s video for current top five single “Dirt on My Boots” captures some of that experience, depicting the artist’s pre-show ritual and the electric buzz of the crowd as he saunters onstage.
Written by Rhett Akins, Jesse Frasure and Ashley Gorley, “Dirt on My Boots” is the second single from Pardi’s album California Sunrise, following the Number One “Head Over Boots.” With support from a swaggering bass groove and R&B-indebted guitar riffs, Pardi sings about a blue-collar gent who cleans up and takes his special someone out on the town. In the video, the idea gets a little twist: there’s a woman who spends her day working outside on a horse farm, before getting cleaned up to come find Pardi at his show.
Currently, Pardi is entertaining crowds as a supporting act (along with Cole Swindell) on Dierks Bentley’s What the Hell World Tour, which visits Thompson-Boling Arena in Knoxville, Tennessee on Saturday, February 25th. He’s also slated to play opening sets on select dates of Tim McGraw and Faith Hill’s Soul2Soul Tour later this year.
