Watch Ryan Adams Perform Aching ‘Prisoner’ Songs on ‘Fallon’
Ryan Adams stopped by The Tonight Show Friday to perform a pair of tracks off his just-released LP Prisoner.
“[Prisoner] got crazy good reviews. It is so good. Buy it, stream it, download it, whatever you can do with albums nowadays,” Jimmy Fallon said of Adams’ breakup album prior to the performance, with guest Joel McHale adding, “Steal it!”
On the broadcast, Adams, rocking a Misfits shirt, and his band unleashed a thunderous rendition of the album’s first single “Do You Still Love Me?” As a web exclusive, Adams and company performed the LP’s tender second single “To Be Without You.”
Prisoner arrived Friday in a wide variety of traditional and quirky formats, including an “End of the World” deluxe box set that features 7″ vinyl versions of each of the album’s tracks, 17 previously unreleased B-sides and a 2-D action playset.
Additionally, Adams has mapped out a world tour in support of Prisoner; check out the North American Dates below.
