OneRepublic Plot Massive Tour, Unveil Cathartic New Video
OneRepublic take New York City in the cathartic new video for “Let’s Hurt Tonight.”
The Devil Wears Prada director David Frankel helmed the clip, which opens with a gorgeous shot of the city skyline at night before closing in on Ryan Tedder as he sings the slow-building acoustic anthem in the backseat of a cab. Elsewhere, Tedder performs “Let’s Hurt Tonight” solo in a giant warehouse illuminated by a massive light fixture before joining the rest of OneRepublic to belt the song on a rooftop.
“Let’s Hurt Tonight” appears on OneRepublic’s latest album, Oh My My, which arrived last October. The group will hit the road in support of the album this summer as headliners on the 2017 Honda Civic Tour.
The 16th annual trek kicks off July 7th at the Sprint Center in Kansas City, Missouri, and will also feature Fitz and the Tantrums and British X Factor winner James Arthur. Tickets go on sale February 24th at 10 a.m. local time via Live Nation while pre-sale through the AT&T Thanks program begins February 20th at 10 a.m. local time. A second pre-sale for Citi cardmembers starts February 22nd at 10 a.m. local time.
Prior to the trek, the group will open a handful of concerts for U2 during their Joshua Tree anniversary tour.
