Watch Jimmy Kimmel’s Hilarious Super Bowl Media Night Invasion
Super Bowl media events aren’t exactly supposed to be all that good for much save for a few quotes from the players about what it means to be playing in the big game, how they’re going to give it their all and all of those other cliché answers you know you’re going to get from athletes. They’d rather be doing other things like, you know, getting ready for the biggest football game of the year.
Jimmy Kimmel and the people that make his show happen banked on that, which is probably why they sent Guillermo in to talk with members of the New England Patriots and Atlanta Falcons for media night, asking nearly every New England guy what Tom Brady smells like, telling Bill Belichick he should smile more often (and getting the most perfect Belichick answer of “No.”) and finally getting to ask Brady himself if he can smell him to find out the answer he’s been looking for. There’s a pretty good chance he picked up some of the best quotes and sound bites of the whole event.
The highlight besides Belichick flashing his smile was Brady being Brady and not being so into the idea of letting a stranger smell him. However, he did tell Kimmel’s sidekick/security guard that, yes, the quarterback legend does in fact smell like flowers. So that answer is solved, and at least we got one concrete piece of information from what was probably just another boring Super Bowl media session.
