Alec Baldwin, Jimmy Fallon Do Dueling Trump Impressions on ‘Tonight Show’
Alec Baldwin and Jimmy Fallon faced off on The Tonight Show on Thursday, battling to out-fib each other in the game “Box of Lies” and showing off their impressions of President Trump.
In “Box of Lies,” each contestant picked a nondescript container and attempted to trick his opponent about the box’s bizarre contents. Fallon lapsed into President Trump-speak when trying to describe a human hand-shaped arrangement of stuffed olives. “It’s the grossest thing I’ve ever seen in my entire life,” he said.
After picking a new box, Baldwin countered with his own impression of the president, scrunching up his face and attempting to convince Fallon that his box held “a big fat, juicy burrito from Honduras.” “The Honduran that delivered the burrito here to this studio, we had him deported,” Baldwin continued, adding political bite to a usually innocuous segment.
Both these actors have relied on their impressions of President Trump for laughs in the past. Last month, Fallon poked fun at the president’s impulse-driven decision making and mocked his executive order temporarily banning or limiting immigration from seven countries. Baldwin is a more practiced Trump imitator: his impressions have been a crucial component of the latest season of Saturday Night Live, which he is hosting this Saturday.
