Hillary Clinton to Reflect on Election Loss to Trump in New Book
Hillary Clinton will reflect on her election loss to President Donald Trump in a new book scheduled for release this fall via Simon & Schuster. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the former Democratic presidential candidate will structure the title as a series of personal essays inspired by her favorite quotations.
The former secretary of state, senator and first lady, will also reissue her best-selling 1996 book, It Takes a Village: And Other Lessons Children Teach Us, in an illustrated kids edition. No release dates were announced for either title.
Clinton is also plotting her next career move by re-partnering with speakers bureau Harry Walker Agency. The politician previously delivered paid talks through the company, drawing heavy criticism from her opponents – including Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders – throughout the election cycle.
Despite being heavily favored in mainstream polls – and winning the popular vote by nearly 3 million – Clinton lost the presidency to Trump in November. She was the fifth U.S. candidate to lose the presidential election despite winning the popular vote.
