Dierks Bentley, Jason Aldean Lead 2017 iHeartCountry Festival Lineup
Jason Aldean, Little Big Town and Dierks Bentley have been named as headliners for the 2017 iHeartCountry Festival, which hits Austin, Texas on Saturday, May 6th.
Also slated to perform at the one-day event, held in Austin’s Frank Erwin Center, are Brantley Gilbert, Rascal Flatts, Old Dominion, Jake Owen, Darius Rucker, Lady Antebellum, Kelsea Ballerini and Bobby Bones and the Raging Idiots. More artists are expected to be announced in the coming days. Tickets go on sale January 21st at 10 a.m. CT.
Now in its fourth year, the iHeartCountry Festival is an extension of broadcast giant iHeartMedia’s push into the live entertainment sphere. Previous editions of the festival have included performances from Carrie Underwood, Eric Church, Luke Bryan, Tim McGraw, Florida Georgia Line, Miranda Lambert and many others.
The iHeartCountry Festival is a genre-specific sibling to the annual iHeartRadio Music Festival, a multi-day, all-genre event that takes place in fall. The most recent edition, held September 23rd and 24th in Las Vegas, included country performers Sam Hunt and Florida Georgia Line alongside rock and pop stars like U2, Drake and Ariana Grande.
Aldean’s appearance at the iHeartCountry Festival will be sandwiched between dates of his They Don’t Know Tour, which officially gets underway April 27th. Earlier in the year, Bentley will be headlining his own What the Hell Tour, which starts January 19th in Dayton, Ohio. To coincide with the release of their new album The Breaker, Little Big Town will play the first date of a six show residency at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium on February 24th.
