‘Hamilton’ Trio to Reunite for ‘America the Beautiful’ at Super Bowl 51
Hamilton‘s original Schuyler Sisters – actresses Phillipa Soo, Renée Elise Goldsberry and Jasmine Cephas Jones – will reunite for the first time since departing the Tony-winning musical to perform “America the Beautiful” at Super Bowl 51.
Soo, Goldsberry and Jones portrayed Eliza, Angelica and Peggy Schuyler when Hamilton first reached the Broadway stage.
“Your girls are backkkk & including women in the sequel. See U at the Super Bowl,” Jones tweeted Friday.
Soo and Hamilton creator Lin-Manuel Miranda both departed the musical following a July 11th performance, with Goldsberry (who won a Tony for Best Featured Actress in a Musical for the role) exiting two months later. Jones left the production in December.
As Hamilton has expanded to Chicago and London productions as well as a touring unit, all three actresses have moved onto new projects, the New York Times reports: Soo will star in the Broadway adaptation of Amelie, Goldsberry features on the upcoming Netflix series Altered Carbon and Jones will appear on the new season of Girls.
As Miranda noted on Twitter, the three actresses rehearsed their Super Bowl performance for him over FaceTime:

The NFL previously announced that country singer Luke Bryan would sing the national anthem at the February 5th football game between the New England Patriots and Atlanta Falcons, which takes place at Houston’s NRG Stadium. Lady Gaga will serve as Super Bowl 51’s halftime performer.
