The Hold Steady’s Craig Finn Plots Solo Album, Living Room Tour
The Hold Steady‘s Craig Finn will release his third solo album, We All Want the Same Things, March 24th via Partisan Records.
Finn posted the album artwork and a few details about the record on Instagram, writing, “I made a record with some friends over the past year or so … It’s got songs about love, survival, and a bunch of other stuff. Lots of really cool people played on it. I’m really proud of this record and excited for you to hear it.”
Finn will preview the new album during an intimate living room tour that begins January 11th in Woodstock, New York. Tickets for the 11-date trek cost $30 and go on sale Friday, December 23rd. The exact location of the concert will be revealed after a ticket is purchased.
Pre-orders for We All Want the Same Things will begin January 10th. The LP follows Finn’s 2015 effort, Faith in the Future. He launched his solo career in 2012 with Clear Heart Full Eyes.
Finn spent a large portion of 2016 on the road in support of Faith in the Future, while he also played a handful of dates with the Hold Steady to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Boys and Girls in America. The group also reunited with keyboardist Franz Nicolay and reissued their first two albums, 2004’s Almost Killed Me and 2005’s Separation Sunday.
