Hear Reba McEntire’s Soulful Version of ‘Oh, How I Love Jesus’
Last week, Reba McEntire shared “Oh, How I Love Jesus,” a new song and accompanying lyric video from her forthcoming double album Sing It Now: Songs of Faith and Hope.
The new album, McEntire’s follow-up to 2015’s Love Somebody, is a 20-song collection of gospel-inspired songs. McEntire’s soulful, full-band take on “Oh, How I Love Jesus” is one 10 classic hymns and gospel standards that make up the album’s first half, which McEntire described in a Facebook Live video as “hymns and songs I grew up singing all my life.” The album’s second side features 10 new songs.
The album includes special guests Kelly Clarkson and Trisha Yearwood, who join McEntire on the hymn “Softly and Tenderly.” A medley of “In the Garden” and “Wonderful Peace” features country gospel group the Isaacs.
