See Ariana Grande, Stevie Wonder Celebrate With Animated ‘Sing’ Characters
In Stevie Wonder‘s joyous “Faith” video, the singer’s soulful music helps the characters from Sing go from living in black-and-white to color. Guest vocalist Ariana Grande struts down the sidewalk, followed by the animated cast including punk rock porcupine, Ash, bashful elephant, Meena and sax-wielding mouse, Mike. Wonder belts behind a grand piano, joined by Grande and the rag-tag crew for a group sing-along.
“Faith,” co-written by pop producers Ryan Tedder and Benny Blanco, appears on the Faith soundtrack. The album – which, like the film, is out Wednesday, December 21st – also features several cover songs. Jennifer Hudson tackles epic Beatles ballad “Golden Slumbers” and Tori Kelly covers Wonder’s “Don’t You Worry ‘Bout a Thing” as well as Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah.”
Wonder released his most recent LP, A Time to Love, in 2005. Since then, he’s added guest spots to numerous albums, most recently on Common’s politically charged single “Black America Again.”
