Watch Kate Moss Croon Elvis Presley’s ‘The Wonder of You’
Kate Moss channels her inner rock god in Elvis Presley‘s black-and-white “The Wonder of You” video, filmed at Abbey Road Studios. The fashion model croons the lush orchestral ballad while striking a variety of dramatic poses, including leaning on a piano and reclining on high-end furniture. In one segment, she wears a black leather jumpsuit inspired by Presley’s outfit from 1968 comeback TV special, Elvis.
Director Vaughan Arnell conceptualized the clip after noting similarities between iconic Presley images and Moss’ fashion shots.
“The Wonder of You” highlights Presley’s latest posthumous LP of the same name, which pairs archival vocal recordings with new orchestral arrangements by London’s Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. The album, produced by Don Reedman and Nick Patrick, spans rock, gospel, country and balladry.
Priscilla Presley, the LP’s executive producer and Elvis’ widow, said in a statement that the singer always pined to explore music in the style of the “great, operatic vocalists.” “We often talked about his interest in recording material that allowed him to perform in that space,” she said.
The Wonder of You, which came out in October, follows 2015’s If I Can Dream, another project featuring Presley and the Royal Philharmonic. A deluxe version of the album, featuring two additional tracks, was released earlier this month.
