Hear Sia’s Moving New Song ‘Angel By the Wings’
Sia released motivational ballad “Angel By the Wings,” from the Otto Bell documentary The Eagle Huntress, as an official single. “You can do anything,” the singer croons over stark piano chords. The message was inspired by the doc, which is about a Mongolian teenager attempting to become her family’s first eagle hunter in 12 generations.
“Angel” is Sia‘s third soundtrack contribution in 2016 following the Finding Dory theme “Unforgettable” and the Bollywood-inspired “Never Give Up” from Lion. The singer also appeared alongside Miguel and Queen Latifah on a synth-pop remake of Hamilton track “Satisfied,” from the Broadway musical’s all-star mixtape.
Sia released her seventh album, This Is Acting, in January. She followed in September with the Kendrick Lamar-featured single “The Greatest,” which debuted at the iPhone 7 unveiling in San Francisco. The vocalist hyped the track with an election-themed clip that endorsed Hillary Clinton and slammed Donald Trump.
Sia recently wrapped her first North American tour in five years with Miguel and AlunaGeorge.
