Watch Big Sean’s Surreal ‘Bounce Back’ Video
Big Sean released a surreal video for his vicious new single “Bounce Back.” In the Kid Studio-directed clip, the Detroit rapper stands alone in a futuristic desert, as scenes shift abruptly between flames, wolves, twerking and flashes of vivid color.
The video’s hallucinatory vibe contrasts with the song’s gritty lyrics, with Sean boasting about his hip-hop dominance and silencing his critics.
The G.O.O.D. music rapper unveiled the Metro Boomin-produced “Bounce Back” and another new song, “No More Interviews,” in November via Soundcloud. He also performed the former on The Tonight Show, using a yellow-tinted set echoed stylistically in the new video and his Twitter profile picture.
Big Sean hasn’t announced a release date for his as-yet-untitled fourth album. But in August, he tweeted pictures of himself with Jay Z and Rick Rubin, noting that the material is “almost ready.”
Earlier this year, Big Sean released Twenty88, a collaborative EP with Jhené Aiko. That release followed his 2015 LP, Dark Sky Paradise, which boasted hit single “I Don’t Fuck With You,” alongside collaborations with Kanye West, Drake, John Legend, Lil Wayne, Ariana Grande and Aiko.
