Regina Spektor Plots 2017 North American Tour
Regina Spektor announced a North American tour behind her latest LP, Remember Us to Life, on Monday. The 18-date trek launches March 5th in Montreal, spanning major venues across the U.S. before concluding April 7th in Berkeley, California.
General public tickets go on sale Friday, November 4th via Ticketmaster and other online ticket retailers. Subscribers to Spektor’s online mailing list will have access to a special presale starting Tuesday, November 1st at 10 a.m. local venue time. A tour teaser video notes that each pair of purchased tickets includes a copy of the new album.
Spektor recently completed a run of sold-out American performances behind her seventh LP, which she released in September. Regina Spektor: A Soundstage Special, an hour-long concert filmed in Chicago this summer, is now airing on PBS stations nationwide.
Spektor spoke to Rolling Stone about the colorful Remember Us to Life and why Donald Trump “should be treated like Voldemort … like He Who Shall Not Be Named.”
“You know, I almost hate to talk about him because I almost feel like this is how school shooters should be treated,” she said. “Like, their names and their pictures should not be on the news; they should just be ignored. And I feel like … he should be ignored, so I don’t even like to say his name in my short little moments speaking on my soapbox.”
