Killer Mike Uses Hacked Hillary Clinton Email for Merchandise
Killer Mike has unveiled merchandise emblazoned with words from a leaked email involving Hillary Clinton‘s campaign chairman John Podesta. The Run the Jewels rapper was one of the subjects discussed amid the bevy of emails hackers leaked to Wikileaks earlier this month.
The February 21st dated email from a staffer is addressed to Podesta. The subject line simply says, “Killer Mike,” and the email reads, “I guess Killer Mike didn’t get the message.”
While the circumstances surrounding the email’s brief contents is unclear, as Pitchfork points out, it was sent shortly after the Atlanta MC endorsed Bernie Sanders during the Democratic primary race and he also criticized Hillary Clinton. In November, Killer Mike continued to show his support by conducting a six-part interview with Sanders.
The rapper’s T-shirts are available in either black or white via Daylight Curfew and the email message is also available on a black hoodie.
Killer Mike is not the only artist to find himself as a subject discussed in the leaked emails. Tom DeLonge’s leaked emails sent to Podesta concerning UFOs were also in the batch.
Killer Mike and El-P announced that they have completed Run the Jewels 3, though the album’s release date has not been unveiled. The duo recently revealed a new track “Talk to Me” from their forthcoming LP via the Adult Swim Singles series.
