Watch Cleveland Cavaliers and Michelle Obama in Stunning Mannequin Challenge
After beating the Golden State Warriors in the NBA Finals earlier this year, LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers finally made their trip to the White House on Thursday to celebrate with President Barack Obama. And if it really is the last team we see a professional sports team visit the White House for at least a few years – Jalen Rose certainly isn’t the only one who believes that’ll be the case – the Cavaliers gave us some moments we won’t soon forget.
It started with President Obama having to say “world champion” and “Cleveland” in a sentence twice just so it would settle in that Cleveland did actually end its championship drought. Then, Obama thanked J.R. Smith for wearing a shirt to the White House and Iman Shumpert’s mind was legitimately blown when he realized the podium could be removed on command.
All of that was only topped off by the Cavaliers pulling off one of the best mannequin challenges we’ve seen yet, with LeBron taking a selfie with Michelle Obama, Kevin Love and Tristan Thompson posing with a George Washington picture and Smith photobombing anyone in his vicinity. Smith even managed to keep his shirt on long enough to be fully clothed for the video, so you know it was a big deal.

However, while the Cavaliers pulled the challenge off perfectly, people still found a way to blame something on LeBron. Three-time NBA champion or not, some things will never change.
