Punk Legends the Damned Plot North American Tour, New LP
Punk pioneers the Damned will launch a full-scale North American tour April 6th in Los Angeles, with dates running until May 21st. Prior to the trek, the quintet will begin sessions for a new LP – their first since 2008’s So, Who’s Paranoid? – this winter, eyeing a release date next year.
A pre-order for the CD, colored vinyl and exclusive merch are available via the album’s PledgeMusic campaign. The band’s debut single, “New Rose,” will be relesed as a limited-edition seven-inch picture disc on November 4th to mark the band’s 40th anniversary.
Singer Dave Vanian and guitarist Captain Sensible, the band’s two original members, will also celebrate four decades in the Damned with a string of 2016 anniversary shows. The group will perform a trio of American dates – October 27th in Los Angeles and October 28th and 29th in New York City – before kicking off an international tour of Belgium, the U.K. and Spain on November 11th.
Full tour details are available at the band’s website.
