Watch Bill Murray Interview Chicago Cubs Players After World Series Win
Whoever had the idea to hire Bill Murray to walk around the Chicago Cubs locker room to interview and drink champagne with players after they brought a World Series title to the North Side for the first time since 1908, please give that person a big raise.
While the team celebrated the clinching victory in the Cleveland visitors dugout, Murray, with a bottle in one hand and a microphone in the other, got some of the best interviews with Cubs players and personal like the team’s manager of operations, Theo Epstein, the team’s President of Baseball of Operations, who is no doubt on his way to the Baseball Hall of Fame.
Murray, possibly the team’s most visible celebrity fan, was the perfect person for the job. Talking to players like a fan, and the players responding to the Ghostbusters and Lost in Translation star with a similar sense of “This is so cool. I just won the World Series, and I’m hanging out with Bill Murray.”

Sure, the Cubs won the World Series and that’s insane. But Bill Murray, who became part of the insane story, causing fans on Twitter to melt down over his reaction to the win, probably deserves some kind of award for being the team’s super fan.
