See Alec Baldwin, ‘SNL’ Mock Donald Trump’s Very Bad Week
Given Donald Trump‘s very bad week, Saturday Night Live had an all-you-can-eat buffet’s worth of material to draw from for their latest cold open, which mashed up the vice presidential debates with Trump’s lewd 2005 leaked video, his late-night apology video and the GOP’s mass exodus away from their own nominee.
“Donald Trump loves women, he respects women, he’s never said a single bad thing about women,” and I dare you to show me a single shred of evidence that proves otherwise,” “Mike Pence” states during SNL‘s VP debate, which then cut immediately to a CNN Breaking News report about Trump’s now-infamous “Grab them by the pussy” remarks.
Alec Baldwin reprised the role of Trump, with the mogul speaking to CNN live from the same locale as his apology video. “I was trying to look cool. What normal, red-blooded American doesn’t want to impress the Billy Bush,” “Trump” says. “Also, P.S., it’s kind of funny that the only Bush that matters in this general election is Billy.”
After CNN lists many of the GOP heavy-hitters that have un-endorsed the Republican nominee – John McCain (“Coward,” the candidate says in the sketch), Carly Fiorina (“She’s a four”) and Mike Crapo (“More like Crap-o”) – “Trump” makes one last impassioned plea to women voters.
“Listen, women, if you give me a chance, I promise I can do a whole lot more than just grab it,” he says. “I can also bop it, twist it and pull it.”
“Trump” then experiences another hot mic moment as the candidate wishes he was Hurricane Matthew “tearing through all that hot Miami pussy.” With that, CNN goes live to Hillary Clinton’s headquarters where the Democratic nominee is doing her “debate prep,” or in this case, popping champagne and celebrating what could end up being the Trump campaign’s fatal gaffe.
