Watch the Game’s Scathing Meek Mill Diss Video ‘Pest Control’
The Game continues to eviscerate fellow rapper Meek Mill in the video for “Pest Control.” Set in Baltimore, the clip opens with an exterminator making a house call to kill a rat. When he’s finished, the camera pivots to a crowd chanting “Fuck Meek Mill!” That’s just the opening; the Game hasn’t even started rapping yet.
“You ain’t shit but a rat to me,” Game raps, “a snake that don’t rattle me.” Game also brings his opponent’s girlfriend Nicki Minaj into the song (“you Nicki Minaj sideshow”) and frequently invokes Mill’s beef history with Drake. “They say the meek shall inherit the Earth/ So I went and dug your ass up, ’cause Drizzy buried you first.”
The instrumental beneath Game’s verses is Young M.A’s popular “Ooouuu,” which has also been remixed numerous high-profile rappers including Meek Mill and Beanie Sigel. Mill’s “Ooouuu” remix was a dig at the Game: “G-A-M-E, please don’t tempt me.”
While Game and Mill trade barbs, Young M.A – one of Rolling Stone‘s September Artists to Know – is reaping the benefits. Her song climbed to No. 15 on Billboard’s Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart this week.
