Dustin Lynch’s Next Album Will Be ‘Very Sexy’
Dustin Lynch is tapping into his romantic side for his next album. Although the 31-year-old country star doesn’t really have a timeline for the LP’s release, he’s confident in what it will entail.
“My albums are all a bit of a time stamp of my life,” he told Rolling Stone Country backstage at Route 91 Harvest Festival in Las Vegas. “Since the start of this album, I was what I thought was in love . . . [and then went] to hating someone and kind of coming to terms with myself on what I wanted to be as a person. So it’s a big circle of emotions and life that I’ve lived over the past few years.”
Lynch is still fine-tuning the project and says he has “about 100” working titles for it. “I want the title to mean something,” he insists. “I don’t want it to be something random. I want to have a message and a meaning behind it.”
And even though the untitled album is still in its early stages, the singer already sees a theme: “It will be a very sexy album,” he says. “Life for me is very fun right now. What I get to do on stage is incredible and then you add the sexy element. . . It’s a great group of songs.”
At Route 91, the Tennessee native ripped through a high-energy set and even carted a cooler of beer on stage during Luke Bryan’s headlining set. Lynch and his former tour boss subsequently swilled a few cold ones together, as the crowd cheered them on.
