See Chase Bryant Channel James Bond in ‘Room to Breathe’ Video Preview
Chase Bryant gives an elaborate audition for the next James Bond movie in “Room to Breathe,” the sexy new video accompanying his latest hit single.
Directed by Jeff Johnson (Keith Urban, Carrie Underwood), the clip was filmed at a downtown Nashville venue called The Valentine, which was transformed into a casino — in the fashion of Casino Royale, the 2006 film starring Daniel Craig as 007.
“When I wrote ‘Room to Breathe’ it was more of writing something that had more sex appeal and writing something that was going to show off a side of me that you want girls to see,” says Bryant. “I was in the bus one night watching James Bond, and anyone who knows me knows I’m absolutely obsessed with it. And when it came to writing the treatment, I just thought we’d recreate a Casino Royale type thing.”
The video follows the country singer on a high-rolling night out, where he runs into a vengeful ex-girlfriend — who is played by the same actress in the song’s steamy lyric video, almost making this new video the sequel.
“Room to Breathe” marks Bryant’s first time acting in a music video — and he does so alongside buddy Lee Brice, who makes a dapper cameo.
