Watch Bobby Brown Brawl With Bell Biv DeVoe in New Biopic Trailer
Bobby Brown and Bell Biv DeVoe battle for stage supremacy in a tense new trailer for BET’s upcoming three-part biopic, The New Edition Story.
The clip opens with Brown (played by Woody McLain) hogging the spotlight with a fiery performance of “My Prerogative” while Michael Bivins (Bryshere Y. Gray of Empire), Ricky Bell (Elijah Kelly) and Ronnie DeVoe (Keith Powers of Straight Outta Compton) grumble backstage. Ultimately, the group decides to bump Brown on their own, but as they tear through “Poison,” a manager stokes the solo star’s anger. After Brown fails to literally hose off BBD, he storms the stage and starts a brawl.

The cast for The New Edition Story will also feature Luke James as Johnny Gill and Algee Smith and Jahi Winston as the older and younger Ralph Tresvant, respectively. The younger Brown will be played by Tyler Williams, while the younger Bell, Bivins and DeVoe will be played by Caleb McLaughlin (Stranger Things), Dante Hoagland and Myles Truitt, respectively.
