See Black Keys, Cage the Elephant Members Join Prophets of Rage Onstage
Prophets of Rage welcomed a pair of special guests – Black Keys‘ Dan Auerbach and Cage the Elephant singer Matt Shultz – during the band’s concert at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena Tuesday night.
The supergroup, comprised of members from Rage Against the Machine, Public Enemy and Cypress Hill, performed their cover of MC5’s “Kick Out the Jams,” with Shultz manically running around the stage while handling lead vocals. The highlight of the cover came when guitarist Tom Morello and Auerbach engage in a scorching guitar solo battle at center stage.
The supergroup previously brought out Dave Grohl during “Kick Out the Jams” during their recent concerts in Los Angeles and Toronto.
Last week, Prophets of Rage unleashed their “Prophets of Rage” music video. The clip featured live footage from some of the band’s important gigs from their brief history, including concerts outside Los Angeles’ Skid Row, Norco Penitentiary and the Republican National Convention.
There are 10 shows remaining on Prophets of Rage’s Make America Rage Again tour, which concludes October 15th in Chula Vista, California.
