See Florida Georgia Line Sing Sensual ‘H.O.L.Y.’ in Nashville
Florida Georgia Line‘s “H.O.L.Y.” continues to dominate Billboard‘s Hot Country Songs chart, holding at Number One for a 14th consecutive week and setting up what looks to be a successful release of their third album Dig Your Roots on August 26th. Recently FGL’s Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelley performed the hit at a special Nashville event sponsored by Pandora, where they also launched their new Old Camp Whiskey brand.
The performance of “H.O.L.Y.” came at the end of an evening that included an industry-only preview of several songs on Dig Your Roots, such as the hazy “Island” – with Kelley singing lead for a change – the wisdom-dispensing title track and the Backstreet Boys collaboration “God, Your Mama and Me.” The listening session was followed by a Q&A with Hubbard and Kelley, who acknowledged changes in their lives that led to more mature selections on this album.
“We’re more spiritual than ever,” said Kelley, “just growing up day by day, trying to be better humans.”
Their performance of “H.O.L.Y.” from the event puts the typically animated duo in more static positions, with Hubbard accompanying himself on piano and Kelley seated on a stool nearby to provide the high harmonies.
Currently, Florida Georgia Line are playing the song on their Dig the Roots Tour with Cole Swindell, the Cadillac Three and Kane Brown, which hits Madison Square Garden on August 25th. Listen to their custom-made Pandora mixtape here.
