See ‘Stranger Things’ Kids Share Secrets on ‘Fallon’
The child stars of Netflix’s Stranger Things — Millie Bobby Brown, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin and Finn Wolfhard — joined Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show on Wednesday. Stranger Things was picked up for a second season earlier this week.
Fallon and the young actors took turns picking a card from a pile and reading it aloud. Each card contained a previously unknown fact about one of the five people present; examples include “I still sleep with a night light” and “In third grade, the fire alarm startled me and I cried in class.” Fallon and co. were given three seconds to decide whom they thought each card was about. After that, they all sprayed that person with silly string from close range.
Though few of the facts were about Fallon, the host seems to take the brunt of the silly string assaults. After a particularly heavy barrage, Fallon asks Finn sarcastically, “can you read?” He shoots back, “can you host?” The two reconciled with a silly string-heavy hug. The segment comes to a close with Millie rapping Nicki Minaj’s scorched-earth verse from Kanye West’s “Monster.”
During a more conventional interviews with no silly string in sight, Fallon also discussed the kiss that Millie and Finn shared in the final episode of Stranger Things‘ first season. According to Millie, the pair chewed through two boxes of Tic Tacs in preparation for the scene. After the kiss, their opinions of it differed. “I got up, and I was like, ‘kissing sucks!'” Millie recalled. “And Finn was like, ‘it wasn’t too bad.'”
