See Justin Moore’s Tipsy ‘Drink’ on ‘Fox and Friends’
Justin Moore‘s fourth album Kinda Don’t Care was released on Friday, August 12th and the singer was in New York to promote the release with a series of appearances. Among them was a visit to Fox News’ Fox & Friends, where he performed “You Look Like I Need a Drink” as part of the morning show’s All-American Summer Concert Series.
Arms bared and head covered in the video below, Moore sings the current top 10 hit for a crowd gathered in front of Fox News’ outdoor stage, many of whom can be seen waving Kinda Don’t Care signs around. With a riff that nods to classic Southern rock, it’s right in the same part of Moore’s wheelhouse that produced “Point at You.” Kinda Don’t Care finds Moore pushing beyond those borders and out of his comfort zone, however, trying out modern productions alongside his more traditional efforts.
“I’ve never recorded an album with the intention of it feeling good from a music standpoint,” he tells Rolling Stone Country. “I’ve always just been concerned by lyrical content and being super country and this and that. Half the album is exactly what I’ve done in the past – ‘You Look Like I Need a Drink’ is the second coming of ‘Point at You’ or whatever, the Southern rock vibe, and there’s a lot of that. But we [also] mixed in some stuff that had a modern sound to it and vibe to it.”
Today, Moore is back in his native Arkansas, where he’ll play Metroplex Live in Little Rock. Tomorrow (August 16th), he’ll be in Nashville and playing a series of downtown honky tonks.
