Austin City Limits returns for its 42nd season this October, but the long-running series provided viewers with a teaser to satiate their live music fix by premiering an hour-long episode dedicated to Lauryn Hill Saturday night. The career-spanning set features songs from the Fugees’ The Score (“Ready or Not,” “Fu-Gee-La,” “Killing Me Softly,” “How Many Mics”), her Miseducation of Lauryn Hill (“Ex Factor,” “Doo Wop (That Thing),” “Lost Ones,” “Final Hour”) plus a cover of Nina Simone’s take on “Feeling Good.”
As a web exclusive, Hill also shared her MTV Unplugged 2.0 cut “The Mystery of Iniquity.”
Austin City Limits comes back October 1st with seven episodes revolving around Paul Simon. My Morning Jacket, Robert Plant, Iggy Pop, Florence and the Machine, James Bay and more. Seven more ACL episodes scheduled to air in 2017.
