Usain Bolt Does His Last Olympic Press Conference in Style
Usain Bolt is the fastest man in the world and a hero to his home country. So for this, his last Olympic games, you know one of the most legendary olympians ever is going to do things right.
Case in point: Bolt’s “weird, hilarious, and ultimately memorable press conference,” which really does deserve consideration for the all-time best press conference hall of fame alongside Shaq saying goodbye, anytime a mic is in front of Pop, and yeah, “Practice” once it’s had the required five years of retirement before it can get onto the ballot.
Why was it so memorable? Well, for one, it had samba dancers. How many athletes get samba dancers at their last press conference? That seems like more than enough to make this one a classic.

Bolt, whose first event, the 4x100m relay, is this Thursday, isn’t letting the pressure of his last Olympics get to him, but he’s also not shying away from speaking his mind on tough subjects like doping at the games. When the runner was asked his thoughts on the subject, Bolt expressed some uncertainty as to whether or not his competitors or not are drug free. “People should have faith. I think we’re weeding out the bad ones,” he said.
One way or another, the legendary olympian is going to have fun on his way out, and we should all try and enjoy it with him.
