Sia to Headline Free Abortion Rights Concert in Cleveland
Sia will perform at the Cleveland concert of a series of 30 free events staged in cities nationwide by the All Access Coalition, an organization that promotes abortion rights awareness. The “Cheap Thrills” singer will take the stage September 10th at Cleveland, Ohio’s Wolstein Center, with former Daily Show correspondent Jessica Williams and Saturday Night Live star Leslie Jones also on the bill.
“All Access is such an inclusive group that I’m proud to be a part of this,” Sia said in a statement (via Billboard). “We all need to stand together and be a part of creating the future we hope to see. There is so much support out there for an inclusive, equitable society that it’s time we showed our collective power.”
Visit the All Access site to enter for free tickets to the Cleveland event. The organization will host similar concerts in cities on September 10th in Miami, Chicago, Atlanta and Philadelphia, as well as satellite events in over 30 cities nationwide. The lineups for those other concerts will be announced later in this summer.
The All Access Coalition is a partnership between over a dozen organizations including the ACLU, Planned Parenthood, Advocates for You, Center for Reproductive Rights, NARAL, URGE, Sister Song and more. “All Access isn’t just a concert, it’s a powerful cultural event that unites people of all ages, racial and gender identities to expand our access to abortion and celebrate our collective power,” the group wrote in its site.
In addition to the Cleveland performance, Sia will also embark on her own Nostalgic for the Present tour, her first North American trek in five years.
