Flight of the Conchords, ‘Weird Al,’ Mac DeMarco Top Festival Supreme
Flight of the Conchords, Mac DeMarco, “Weird Al” Yankovic and Sarah Silverman will headline Tenacious D‘s fourth Festival Supreme October 29th at the Shrine Expo Hall and Grounds in Los Angeles.
The bill boasts an impressive array of comedians, musicians and performers that excel at both including Maya Rudolph, Fred Armisen, Tim Heidecker and Garfunkel and Oates. As for Tenacious D, Jack Black and Kyle Gass are not billed this year as their mighty rock hero selves, but will rather preside over the decks as Tenacious DJ.
Also set to play Festival Supreme are Patton Oswalt, Will Forte, Jenny Slate, Nancy Whang of LCD Soundsystem, southern California punk mainstays the Vandals, Jonathan Toubin, Brent Weinbach and Michael Carbonaro. The festival will also feature special acts like the music of Wet Hot American Summer, Eric Andre Live! and Brett Gelman’s “Gelmania” podcast.
Tickets for Festival Supreme will go on sale Friday August 12th at 10 a.m. PDT. A full lineup is available on the Festival Supreme website.
Flight of the Conchords’ headlining spot at Festival Supreme is also one of several new tour dates for the New Zealand comedy duo, as Pitchfork reports. The pair recently finished a trek, but have scheduled additional concerts this fall in Houston (October 25th) and Dallas (October 26th), as well as a rescheduled show in Phoenix on October 28th. Tickets are available on the group’s website.
