See Jillian Jacqueline’s Exuberant ‘Somebody’ Video
Country singer-songwriter Jillian Jacqueline has had a particularly sweet Valentine’s week. She celebrated a career milestone by performing at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville and also issued a new song, “Somebody,” as part of Amazon Music’s Valentine’s-inspired “Love Me” playlist.
The previously unreleased “Somebody” emphasizes Jacqueline’s honeyed vocals along with a sing-along chorus and plenty of infectious hooks. The uplifting love song was released as part of a playlist that also features selections by John Prine and Dan Auerbach. A companion playlist, “Love Me Not,” showcases tunes that tackle heartbreak and unrequited love.
In an accompanying new music video for “Somebody,” Jacqueline gallivants around New York City, making her way through snow-covered streets and hanging out in a glamorous hotel room. Sharing the video on Twitter, she wrote, “Thought it would be a really good idea to get back to my old stomping grounds, stay in a ridiculous hotel room & run around and film what happened.”
On Wednesday, Jacqueline made her Grand Ole Opry debut, tweeting, “Tonight was magical…thank you to everyone who made my @opry debut so incredibly special…could barely hold back the tears.” She’s currently supporting her latest single, “Reasons,” which she performed on Late Night With Seth Myers last month. She is currently on tour with Jordan Davis, and the pair’s next show is scheduled for February 16th in Mount Laurel, New Jersey.
